CBS Bethesda, Maryland, where CBS first started 50 years ago, invites you to discover God through the study of His Word, the Bible. Our groups meet on Tuesdays during the school year. Each class participant receives a course book with home study questions and commentaries for each lesson. Each week, you will participate in small group discussions and a large group teaching. From time to time, extended fellowship gatherings will provide special times of sharing and relationship building within the class.

Registration Fee: $40 per adult and $10 per child.
CBS 2026-2027 will begin on Sept 15, 2026
We will be studying the 1st half of Genesis (Chapters 1-22) for 24 weeks, and Colossians for the last 6 weeks.

Next Gen Ministry
Our Children's Program serves children ages 6 months to elementary. Children experience the love of Jesus through a variety of activities such as Bible teaching, Scripture memory work, crafts and other activities, we seek to provide an online experience where children can learn about Jesus' wonderful love for them. We also come alongside parents as they teach and train their children to live out God’s truths in their lives. Elementary age children will begin the day with the younger children and then will split off to a CBS Primary study.
Ethnos
If you’re learning to speak English as a second language, then this specialized CBS group – Ethnos – might be just perfect for you! Our cities, neighborhoods, schools and communities are multicultural, and it’s our desire to bring the life-transforming benefits of an in-depth Bible study to people whose first language is not English. Ethnos lessons are shorter and slightly simplified. We offer in-person and online (daytime and evening) groups. Please register online and e-mail bethesda.cbsclass@gmail.com to indicate Ethnos.
